TRAIN SMARTER.
RECOVER FASTER.
biomechanical intelligence with every movement
OUR APPROACH
Training and recovery are a personal journey, but most plans still feel generic and prescriptive. Whether you’re working through rehab or aiming for peak performance, it’s easy to feel like you’re guessing: are your movements helping or hurting?
Orthestra replaces guesswork with precision. Our intelligent wearable captures real-time biomechanical data, like joint motion and muscle engagement, using embedded sensors and e-textile technology. Paired with adaptive AI, we deliver personalized feedback that helps you train smarter, recover faster, and move with confidence.
BUILT FOR TRAINING
FOR COMPETITIVE ATHLETES AND HOBBYISTS
Track biomechanics by measuring joint mobility and muscle engagement
Optimize technique with precision feedback
Avoid overuse injuries by measuring muscle fatigue and breakdown in form
BUILT FOR RECOVERY
FOR CLINICIANS AND PATIENTS
Track overall joint health and recovery using biomechanical data
Feedback on proper recovery exercise form
Remote patient monitoring to track patient adherence and progress
HOW IT WORKS
WEAR
Comfortable e-textile garment feels like you’re wearing athletic clothing.
MEASURE
Track joint angles and muscular engagement while you exercise, all in real-time.
OPTIMIZE
Analyze exercise sessions to provide personalized recommendations based on your body and your goals.
ABOUT US
We started Orthestra after years of dealing with our own injuries: knee pain that never fully healed and slow recoveries that took longer than they should have. As we get older, we know that it only gets harder to bounce back, and we’ve seen too many friends give up those long hikes or pickup basketball games because of lingering injuries that never got the care they needed.
Nathan Shayefar, Co-founder
Nathan holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and brings 15 years of experience as a software engineer and technical leader. At Orthestra, he leads fundraising, business development, software engineering, and strategic partnerships.
Outside of work, he enjoys dancing, hiking, and yoga. Anything that keeps him moving, balanced, and grounded.
Amit Gandhi, Co-founder
Amit holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. He previously founded Sensen, a social impact startup, and brings a deep expertise in sensor products and systems. At Orthestra, he leads product design, hardware engineering, and research partnerships.
Outside of work, you’ll find him rock climbing, skiing, or hiking (when he’s not recovering from the last adventure).
